Deep into the south of the Pearl of the Orient (Sri Lanka) is a small peninsula embraced by the Indian
Ocean. On this peninsula lies the beautiful Dickwella Resort intertwined with a myriad of tropical flowers
and vegetation. There are two beaches and reefs offering a variety of colourful marine life.
A place to come to rest and to be at one with nature, to be romantic or enjoy a holiday filled with activities,
the resort is not too large and the atmosphere is very intimate. An independent Resort,
managed by Enzo(Italian nationality) and Anke(Dutch nationality).

The Hotel’s standard guest rooms all feature spacious bedroom with canopied beds and sitting areas decorated
with Sri Lankan style furnishings. All rooms have a terrace with ocean view. Services and amenities in the rooms
include a refrigerated mini bar, tea / coffee maker , telephone, fan, air-conditioning and daily
housekeeping service.
SUITES AND DELUXE ROOMS
Suites and deluxe rooms are enhanced by unique artwork, antiques and canopied beds. Offering a luxurious
space to entertain, Suites are spacious with two additional divans in the room.
All Suites and deluxe rooms have a scenic balcony with ocean view.
FACILITIES
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is filled with fresh salt seawater. A jacuzzi is situated next to the swimming pool.
Diving
PADI -accredited dive programs are available from half October until May. There are introductory one-day
courses as well as itineraries for the more experienced.
Beach
Windsurfing, body surf boards, canoes and snorkeling equipment are available on our beach, weather and
tide permitting. A Jacuzzi is situated on our private beach.
Tennis
Dickwella maintains one red earth tennis court. Equipments available.
Fishing
Early morning fishing trips are organized upon request.
Folk Evenings
For the folk evenings we bring in traditional Sri Lankan entertainment. These are a real spectacle, varying from
Sri Lankan dancers to a magician.
Library
A small library is available with indoor games
Bazaar
The bazaar offers a variety of cultural items. We sell antiques and locally made souvenirs. |
